@ Sebastien - This bug was observed on machine with Radeon GPU using Chinese Edition Ubuntu 12.10 (Quantal Quetzel) daily build. We used the restart/shut down options available in the system indicator menu on the top right of the panel. We also tried a manual restart by pressing the button on the CPU.
There is another bug reported regarding restart and shut down as none of this resulted in restarting or shut down of machine https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity/+bug/1062173 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-settings-daemon in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1062381 Title: Week 40 - Keyboard indicator in systray disappears after restart Status in “gnome-settings-daemon” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Chinese Edition Ubuntu 12.10 (Quantal Quetzel) daily build Issue:- Keyboard indicator in systray (top left area of panel) disappears after restart.
