Title:
12.10 tries to mount CD/DVD drive as floppy disk

Status in “gnome-disk-utility” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
Fresh install of 12.10 results in the system trying to mount a second
CD/DVD optical drive (internal) as floppy drive. The system is
currently set up with two optical drives, one master and one slave.

The system identifies the drive as /dev/fdo and tries to mount it on
/mnt/fd0. It simply hangs in the "mounting drive" state. The drive
is unusable as the situation stands.
