The other bug you mentioned was about Kubuntu, that was why I thought
your bug might be as well. Let's hope Nautilus is the right package, and
that some of the devs can fix it.

Title:
Unable to rename samba network shares on desktop

Status in “nautilus” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
Ubuntu Natty: I connect to a server location (Places | Connect to server),
connect to a Windows share, specify a folder and add a bookmark. It connects
perfectly to the network location but it puts a 'shortcut' icon (sorry for this
terminology; I come from the Windows world) on the desktop, called 'username$
on 10.0.0.10'. Unfortunately I cannot rename this shortcut, which is quite
annoying, since this name doesn't make any sense for non-technical members of
my family.
Even worse, when I add another bookmark to a different folder on this server
it adds a shortcut with exactly the same name: 'username$ on 10.0.0.10', even
though they point to different folders.
I believe this is the same issue as reported in #109260 but that was closed
no change.
Please make it possible to rename these entries, or at least assign them the
friendly BOOKMARK name.
