Title:
Can not stop scanning an incorrectly-entered library folder
Status in “rhythmbox” package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
Binary package hint: rhythmbox
If the user mistakenly enters their home dir or / as the Library
Location in Preferences->Music, then there is not way to recover --
Rhythmbox will forever after scan those erroneous locations at each
start-up, unless scanning is completely disabled.
Specifically, If the 'Library Location' is changed in
Preferences->Music and 'Watch my library for new files' checked, then
the OLD library is still scanned, as well as the new. Indeed, the
location box says "Multiple locations set" instead of any one path. I
could not see any way to tell Rhythmbox to forget about a previously-
entered library path.
There should be a way to delete library locations completely from
Rhythmbox (if there is already, then some reference to it should be
visible in the Preferences->Music tab).
