@KruyKaze: Did you run gm-notify once first? You can search for it in the dash or run gm-notify from the command line. It needs to be run once to register with the messaging menu. (Unlike in previous versions where there was a file in /usr/share/indicators/messages/applications/ that would tell the messaging menu to add that app). Hope that helps.
