Binary package hint: gnome-disk-utility
A swap partiton can have a label like other filesystems. However:
swapoff /dev/sda2
mkswap -L swap-linux /dev/sda2
swapon /dev/sda2
And gnome-disk-utility will still show it as "3.0 GB Swap Space"
