Title:
Disk Utility lacks door lock/unlock button for CD/DVD drives

Status in GNOME Disks:
  Won't Fix
Status in “gnome-disk-utility” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gnome-disk-utility

I can lock my keyboard/mouse through the shutdown utility. But I can't
lock my CD/DVD door from the disk utility. This is an oversight. Some
people want this feature to protect the drive from their 2 year olds.
I just want it because I move my laptop around all the time while it's
on. The eject switch is right where one would normally grasp the
laptop's edge and so the door constantly pops open. Please add a
button/indicator in the Disk Utility GUI next to the eject button so I
can lock/unlock my CD/DVD door. Thx.

  Disk Utility 2.30.1 under Lucid
