Public bug reported:
When first started, rhythmbox's rhythmbox-metadata process tends to grab
all available memory (up to 1.1 GB) for a few seconds, then releases
everything for a while. Then it slowly creeps up to 1.1 GB again. This
repeats indefinitely until I manually kill the offending process, at
which point it respawns, although no longer taking up more than 10 MB.
System:
Ubuntu 12.10 with all updates installed; 64-bit
$ apt-cache policy rhythmbox
rhythmbox:
Installed: 2.97-1ubuntu5
Candidate: 2.97-1ubuntu5
Version table:
*** 2.97-1ubuntu5 0
