Title:
HDA sound changes default between digital and analog for no reason

Status in “alsa-driver” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
Recently I have been finding that sometimes when I boot pulseaudio
connects to my Intel sound's analog inputs and outputs, and sometimes
it connects to the digital. When it is the latter I have to log out,
kill pulseaudio, and then remove and reinsert the snd-hda-intel
  module.

Surely there must be a way of telling your system that you want analog
  every time?
