floppy drive show though no hardware is present

Bug description:
I am running ubuntu 12.10. This bug started when I installed ubuntu
12.04 and has persisted into ubuntu 12.10.
The computer does not have floppy disk drive but ubuntu displays one
in the file manager. Is there a way to disable it? Thank you.
