Apps don't get shown in Launcher until installation has finished

Bug description:
Applications installed using software-center 5.2.6 no longer appears
in the Launcher right away (5.2 behavior), but only after installation
has finished. Thus no installation progress bar is shown, since there
is no place in launcher to show it in.
