Thus I'm closing this bug report.

Title:
Eclipse + Android can not create SD card image on 64-bit Ubuntu
Status in “eclipse” package in Ubuntu:
Opinion
Bug description:
Using the Android Development Tools (ADT) plugin for Eclipse it wants
you to create a SD card image when you create an Android Virtual
Device (AVD). However this fails on 64-bit Ubuntu.
After installing ia32-libs it worked.
Allegedly only these libraries are needed: libstdc++6:i386 libgcc1:i386
zlib1g:i386 libncurses5:i386
