Public bug reported:
I typed (while in ~/) "ln -s /home/username/Dropbox/Linux/.todo .todo"
and the system froze. I could move the cursor like an inch or so maybe
once five to ten seconds, but then the system would not respond to any
input from the mouse or keyboard. Ctr+Alt+Delete, Ctr+Alt+Backspace,
Alt+F2, Alt+F4/F5/F6, etc all did nothing. I had to hard reset.
This has happened to me quite a lot, including in earlier versions of
Ubuntu, often but not every time I create a symlink in the terminal.
What is going on?
Description: Ubuntu 12.10
Release: 12.10
Expected: Creation of symlink in home directory.
What happened: System froze and would not respond.
** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
