Still with 12.10 (KUbuntu), for me on R60. No event occures in acpi_listen for power button, for other special keys events do occure.

Neither of syslog, kern.log and dmesg have relevant logs. Hard shutdown by pressing the power button for a long time works, but this is a hardware feature. I'm not sure how to further debug this issue.
