Title:
Directory properties: Contents field doesn't indicate progress

Status in Nautilus:
  Fix Released
Status in “nautilus” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: nautilus

When properties are viewed for a large directory (eg /usr), it takes
some time to scan all children and calcualate total items/size.
Locally it is discernable when this has finished, due hard disk
  activity.

When querying a remote directory or using a remote X session, subject
to variable network latency, there is no indication that scanning has
completed perhams leading to wrong interpretation by the user.

A hint - perhaps using shading, a spinner or a '(working)' suffix -
  would resolve this.
