I also found that someone I know had a problem with the Kyocera fs- 1350dn. The workaround found in the end was to plug it in via ethernet and add it as a network printer, and then add the PPD file. It printed fine then. If you only have one PC, you could just share the ethernet to the printer (Shared to other computers under ethernet settings). Hope this helps someone.
