Fullscreen controls in totem not working

Bug description:
Using totem in ubuntu 12.04 I get absolutely no player controls when I
move my mouse in fullscreen mode. This worked fine in 11.04. I can
reporoduce this 100% of the time, open any video in totem, and move
the mouse around to try and get the player controls to show,
absolutely nothing happens.
