Title:
unable to buy anything on ubuntu software center when e.g. java is
quired in the browser to verify transaction
Status in “software-center” package in Ubuntu:
Triaged
Bug description:
So,
After I have filled in my credit card details and I press Review order then
Submit Order.
Im being redirected to my banks signing page to "sign" the payment with my
two-factor password and pin-display.
This page uses an java applet which requires some specific java version to
run.
The kind of applet is also used on this webpage if you type in some numbers
(must be a number containing 11 digits.) and press "Gå videre"
https://www2.sparebank1.no/portal/3229/3_privat?_nfpb=true&_pageLabel=sb1_bank_login&_nfls=false&_nfls=false
This is a extra signing step required and used by almost all the banks
in my country (Norway)
I guess this affects a lot of users who have not done any "java-
extension" tweaks to their ubuntu install.
