Title:
  Mouse pointer goes crazy

Status in “xserver-xorg-input-evdev” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
After a while the mouse pointer runs over the screen along a straight line
(upwards, downwards, diagonal etc.) if the numpad mouse was enabled using
  setxkbmap -option keypad:pointerkeys
This bug will be difficult to reproduce as it seems to occur randomly and
only in certain setups. I encounter it working under KDE 4.9 on Ubuntu 12.04
(also previous versions) which was why I asked here:
  http://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=111&t=106913
I encounter it only working in dual screen setup with external keyboard and
mouse (both Logitech) attached to my Lenovo T61 thinkpad. So far not if I do
indeed use the numpad mouse but when it was left on unintentionally (not
deactivated by pressing Shift+Num-Lock ).
The movement of the pointer can be compensated by moving the mouse in the
opposite direction but the pointer runs too fast to perform a secure
logout/reboot. At the same time the system does not react to keyboard input.
This is a serious bug which forces the user to force reboot the system
without any chance to close unsaved files.
