Title:
package empathy-common 3.4.1-0ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade:
ErrorMessage: package empathy-common is already installed and
configured
Status in “empathy” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
Problem first surfaced on a fresh installation of 12.04, I attempted to
update using 'Update Manager.' Admittably, I'm fairly new to Linux and this
could somehow be my fault. At any rate, the upgrade seemingly failed for this
package 'empathy-common' (version number included in bug report) and also for
gnome sudoku (separate bug report soon to be filed.) Since the update failed,
my package system has been broken and I'm unable to install packages via the
terminal from repositories, or via the Software Center. I would appreciate any
help I can get on this problem...
Thanks,
Malachi.
