-- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to banshee in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/878830 Title: banshee crashes on scrobbling when last.fm is unreachable Status in “banshee” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Ubuntu 11.10 Banshee version 2.2.0-1ubuntu2 When playing a song, and a couple of seconds have passed, banshee tries to contact the last.fm servers. However, the lastfm domain is blocked from a corporate proxy, such as Cisco Websense. Websense uses HTTP 302 redirection to an "Access denied" page. *** krastin@kamelot:~$ telnet last.fm 80 Trying 195.24.232.203... Connected to last.fm. Escape character is '^]'. GET / HTTP/1.0 HTTP/1.0 302 Moved Location: http://192.168.XX.XX:15871/cgi-bin/blockpage.cgi?ws-session=2952799450 Pragma: no-cache Cache-Control: no-cache Connection closed by foreign host. *** Thus Banshee crashes when (apparently) it tries to connect the servers for the second time. If I disable the Last.FM Scrobbling extension, all plays fine and no crashes occur. I attach the banshee output log.
