Title:
new tabs ignore command line options such as --geometry, --zoom

Status in GNOME Terminal:
  Invalid
Status in “gnome-terminal” package in Ubuntu:
  Triaged

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gnome-terminal

  Steps to reproduce:
  1. Launch a new terminal using the command `gnome-terminal --geometry=100x24
--zoom=1.3`
  2. Open a new tab in that terminal (File > New Tab)

  Expected behavior (Karmic):
The new tab honors the --geometry and --zoom options passed to
`gnome-terminal` as command line options.

  Unexpected behavior (Lucid):
The new tab is started with default settings instead of geometry, zoom etc.
settings passed to `gnome-terminal` as command line options.
