Title:
  Nm-applet doesn't show wireless conection

Status in “network-manager-applet” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
I have Acer Aspire 1362 laptop with INPROCOMM IPN 2220 Wireless LAN Adapter
(rev 01)
I use ndiswrapper in Ubuntu 9.04 (with MS Widows driver) and i configured
connection using network-admin.
  Iwconfig wlan0 shows:

  wlan0 IEEE 802.11g ESSID:"USR5461"
            Mode:Managed Frequency:2.462 GHz Access Point: 00:C0:49:F1:29:00

            Bit Rate=54 Mb/s
            RTS thr=2347 B Fragment thr=2346 B
            Encryption key:636F-6D70-75 Security mode:restricted
            Power Management:off
Link Quality:100/100 Signal level:-18 dBm Noise level:-96 dBm
Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0
            Tx excessive retries:0 Invalid misc:0 Missed beacon:0

I can show WWW with Opera and Firefox but nm-applet is permanently no
active in wireless net. I think in Ubuntu's earlier versions there no
  that problem.

To use wireless conection I had write a little script using
  ifdown/ifup wlan0 commands.

  With regards: Sławomir Sobaniec
