Public bug reported: If a link is sent that is too long to be displayed in a libnotify popup, clicking the link in the popup will only direct you to the visible portion of the link. That is, suppose a colleague sends me the link:
http://www.example.com/really/long/name This might show in the libnotify popup as: http://www.example.com/really/lo... When the link is clicked, "http://www.example.com/really/lo" (the part before the ellipsis) is opened in a web browser. This bug was found in Ubuntu 12.10, running GNOME 3 and pidgin 2.10.6. ** Affects: pidgin (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to pidgin in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1092618 Title: Broken links in pidgin notifications Status in “pidgin” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: If a link is sent that is too long to be displayed in a libnotify popup, clicking the link in the popup will only direct you to the visible portion of the link.
