  I tried editting my menu through both right click on applications and system 
> preferences > main menu.
  Both methods resulted in me waiting for something to happen but nothing came 
along.

  I needed sudoers rights to get it running through commandline. (No
  popup for requesting sudoers authentications comes up when using the
  graphical method)

  I've read there were simillear problems with 8.04 hardy, but it's
  still not fixed.
