@ hackel: I thinks that Canonical make 5 build for all version of Ubuntu
(  amd6, armel, armhf  i386, powerpc).

In odler version of Ubuntu (10.04 for exemple), gstreamer may read H264
but not perfectly as in Ubuntu 12.04 and Canonical don't want to support
a spefic version with gstreamer enable and another with gstreamer
disable.

And Gstreamer use a lot of FFmpeg. This last one forked (avconv/Libav)
and there are a lot of trouble with that. This point could not help to
take a decision

  Building Firefox with GStreamer support would provide support for a lot of 
websites that use h264.
  To build Firefox with GStreamer support you should use the 
"--enable-gstreamer" option.
