Title:
  Xorg crashed with SIGABRT

Status in “xorg-server” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
While typing, the Dash Home appeared. Hitting Esc in an attempt to
dismiss the Dash Home caused the screen to go black and the mouse
cursor to only move on the screen every few seconds. After hitting
Ctrl+Alt+F1 to try to gain access to the console, these messages were
observed and looping every five or so seconds, followed by a flash of
  random colours:

[drm] nouveau 0000:01:00.0: GPU lockup - switching to software fbcon
[drm] nouveau 0000:01:00.0: Failed to idle channel 1.
[drm] nouveau 0000:01:00.0: Failed to idle channel 2.
