Title:
Thunderbird hangs when composing message - seems correlated to inbox
check (imap)
Status in “thunderbird” package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Bug description:
Binary package hint: thunderbird
In lucid beta1, with thunderbird 3.03, the program is regularly
hanging while I compose new messages. Once it hangs, it never comes
back and the composition is lost. It seems correlated with new
messages appearing in the inbox in mid-compose, though I have not
confirmed 100% correlation. I had thunderbird checking messages every
10 minutes. I have now set it to never check (except manual) and I
will see if the problem is truly related to new messages appearing in
inbox while composing. I will note that I was also using thunderbird 3
in Karmic without troubles.
Thanks,
Dugan.
