Thank you for your suggestion.

You are asking to rebind the hotkey sequence for increasing the font
size under gnome-terminal to CTRL-= because the ``+'' sign lies on the
second register on the ``='' key on your keyboard layout.

While a lot of keyboard layouts place special characters just like the
US layout, others do not. For example the German layout has its own
``+'' key while the ``='' sign lies on the second register of the ``0''
key. Unfortunately it is virtually impossible to catch different
possible combinations of the position of the ``+'' and ``-'' signs due
to different keyboard layouts and physical keyboard layouts.

Thanks for taking the time to share your opinion!

Title:
CTRL - "=" should also works as CRTL-SHIFT-"=" (which is CTRL- "+")

Status in “gnome-terminal” package in Ubuntu:
  Opinion

Bug description:
  This is re-produced on Precise.

It's three key to enlarge the font on gnome terminal, which is "CTRL-
  SHIFT- '=' ".

I think we should make CRTL-"=" also work as it is.

Also the CTRL- "the plus or minus on the number pad" is not working,
too. I also think that should works.
