  xserver-xorg-input-synaptics 1.6.99 no point to click or scroll

Bug description:
  xserver-xorg-input-synaptics 1.6.99 has a bug where tap-to-click and
  scroll-wheel functions do not work even when active...  They work fine
  in 1.6.2 which I have downgraded to when using both Ubuntu 12.10 and
  Bodhi Linux 2.2 with 3.7.1 kernels...
