As of our testing last week, a fully up to date 12.04.1 build still experienced the hang. The problem only affects discrete graphics and apus with gpus in the 7000 series. The easiest way to reproduce is to open "system settings" and try to open the sound options. In the machines affected by the issue, the sound options icon will hang and lock the system settings app as soon as it is clicked.
