Title:
[USB-Audio - Logitech G35 Headset, playback] Not swapping between
  headphones and speakers

Status in “alsa-driver” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
When removing/adding headphones to the usb port the sound does not
automatically revert to/back from the speaker output.

I need to go to the sound settings > output > Internal Audio Analogue
  Stereo

When plugging headphones back in I need to repeat the process

This also seems to disable the link between my headphone volume
control. If I move the volume up or down after putting the headphones
back in the port it will move the slider in Banshee, but the volume
will stay the same coming through the headphones. To get it to
reactivate, I need to go back into sound settings > output > Logitech
G35 Headset Analogue Stereo > then move the output slider in this
window. This then allows me to use the volume control on my
  headphones.

If this is not a bug, i.e. you have chosen to control the sound output
by logging into the settings, then perhaps having the outputs in a
dropdown menu in the sound setting so they can be quickly chosen
  between would be handy.
