I have received the following feedback from Takashi regarding the following
modification:
- SND_PCI_QUIRK(0x10cf, 0x1397, "Fujitsu", ALC262_FUJITSU),
+ SND_PCI_QUIRK(0x10cf, 0x1397, "Fujitsu", ALC262_FIXUP_BENQ)

---------------------
This was already fixed in the recent code.
Try the latest kernel and report back if it still doesn't work.

thanks,

Takashi

Title:
  no sound/ Speaker issue 12.04

Status in “alsa-driver” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
I am having critical sound issues since I did the update to 12.x and I
have been looking on many post to find solution without success.

I am using a laptop Fujitsu S7110 and just did a fresh install 12.04.
I did the standard OS update after running the fresh install from the CD and
I don't get any sound from the speakers.

The Alsa log file can be found here:
  http://www.alsa-project.org/db/?f=83443eabc64a7d840001f687e9a8634df57226b1

I am kind of desesperate about this bug and might switch (after
several years of using Ubuntu) to an other distribution.

  Any help would be welcome.

  Best regards,

  David
