Title: Software Center fails do install/update due to a required proxy authentication Status in “gnome-control-center” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Proxy configuration in Unity is a poor and minimalist issue. There's no way to set user and proxy passwords, no way to set hosts/networks/domains exceptions. This behavior causes a tremendous headache when installing/upgrading Ubuntu in corporative networks where IT team is a little more "paranoid" about security issues. So, for God's sake, please add the options I described above (exceptions and user/password) in Unity's proxy config. Thanks.
