Sorry, that doesn't help much. It looks as if you are now using an older version of Firefox (12.0) on the laptop than you were when you reported this bug (firefox 15.0.1+build1-0ubuntu0.12.04.1).
Compiz is indeed the name of the OpenGL-using compositor being used behind Unity3D.
