Bug description:
Separating the Dash issue from the blank icon bug #886778.
An application with a .desktop file but without Icon line in there
should not be shown with a document icon as seen in
https://launchpadlibrarian.net/85093547/dash.png - is there another
icon that could be used for applications?
You can emulate it with any application by removing the Icon line from
/usr/share/applications/[yourapp].desktop
