Omer: Ok, I guess by "discoverable", you mean an interface that could be
totally used without any help whatsoever.
If so, firstly this does *not* stop you from adding an option for the
Natty way.
Secondly, a much better approach to this discoverability problem, is to
include a demonstration welcome tutorial in help, and have a shortcut to
this on the desktop of the LiveCD and fresh installs / new accounts.
The welcome demo should include some speech talking the user around the
major parts of the system, but should not include any video due to
CD/download size constraints. Instead of video, the welcome demo should
highlight, activate or animate parts of the interface it wants to draw
attention to.
This solves the discoverability problem you talk about, and would mean
that you don't have to trash the interface by trying to make it totally
self-documenting (if you can call it that).
