"You can fix this by downloading the pdf-import from openoffice ( http://extensions.services.openoffice.org/project/pdfimport ). I just replaced the files in /usr/lib/libreoffice/share/extensions/pdfimport/ with this from openoffice and had the images back." I have confirmed this does fix the problem (for Ubuntu 12.04 64 bit with LO version 3.5.4.2). The modify date on the OO version of the PDFImport Extension is 2012-10-14. So, this must be a regression?? In the test document I was working with, using the LO PDFImport only imports the first 18 pages of the document. No error is given, just doesn't import the rest. Using the OO PDFImport, ALL pages are imported, AND all images show correctly. I will attach this larger pdf. First image is on page 19 (simple exclamation icon that actually DOES NOT show correctly with the OO version of PDFImport, but I am overlooking that for now) or page 20 for a "more substantial image", so it appears that the LO version of PDFImport is somehow hanging when it gets to an image (??). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to libreoffice in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1009663 Title: [Upstream] PDF File Imports Without Image Status in LibreOffice Productivity Suite: Confirmed Status in “libreoffice” package in Ubuntu: Triaged Bug description: 1) lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Release: 12.04 2) apt-cache policy libreoffice-draw libreoffice-draw: Installed: 1:3.5.3-0ubuntu1 Candidate: 1:3.5.3-0ubuntu1 Version table: *** 1:3.5.3-0ubuntu1 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ precise-updates/main i386 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 1:3.5.2-2ubuntu1 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ precise/main i386 Packages apt-cache policy libreoffice-pdfimport libreoffice-pdfimport: Installed: 1.0.5+LibO3.5.3-0ubuntu1 Candidate: 1.0.5+LibO3.5.3-0ubuntu1 Version table: *** 1.0.5+LibO3.5.3-0ubuntu1 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ precise-updates/universe i386 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 1.0.5+LibO3.5.2-2ubuntu1 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ precise/universe i386 Packages 3) What is expected to happen in Draw via the Terminal: cd ~/Desktop && wget -c https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libreoffice/+bug/1009663/+attachment/3179211/+files/Test%20PDF.pdf -O example.pdf && lodraw --nologo example.pdf is the image is displayed. 4) What happens instead is it is not.
