Public bug reported: this is an addendum to the comment to bug #1020051 I wrote yesterday, now from one of the two PCs with ASUS M2A-VM onboard ATI graphics (Athlon 4050e, AMD 690G Chipset - Integrated ATI Radeon X1250-based graphics)
The freeze occurred again today, even after latest updates (12.04 LTS) Note that on both machines - although amd64 - I run 32bit Ubuntu. But I think its either ATI driver or Compiz or X.org or (maybe?) Firefox. Report from the other machine will follow within the next hours.
