Title: After installing Ubuntu 12.04 my laptop touchpad randomly stops responding Status in “xserver-xorg-input-synaptics” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: In the past I have seen similar issues with this laptop when not turning off the option to disable touchpad while typing, however with 12.04 this still occurs even when that option is turned off. Essentially what happens is the mouse (touchpad) will be working fine and then suddenly just stop responding. Keyboard input still responds correctly. Logging in/out does not fix the issue, a full restart seems to be required. Please let me know if there is any additional information I can provide to get this fixed. As you can imagine it is very frustrating/annoying and sometimes even leads to lost data.
