I have the same issue with brasero not ejecting CD's or DVD's after burning; other apps will eject (e.g. Ruby Ripper).
With no CD or DVD inserted, my CD/DVD drive as listed from 'sudo lshw | less' is: *-cdrom description: DVD-RAM writer product: CDDVDW SN-208AB vendor: TSSTcorp physical id: 1 bus info: scsi@2:0.0.0 logical name: /dev/cdrom logical name: /dev/cdrw logical name: /dev/dvd logical name: /dev/dvdrw logical name: /dev/sr0 version: TC00 capabilities: removable audio cd-r cd-rw dvd dvd-r dvd-ram configuration: ansiversion=5 status=nodisc -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to brasero in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/995019 Title: Have to eject the disc manually to complete the burn process Status in “brasero” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: What I've changed to the plugin settings: Changed disc check from MD5 to SHA256. When I burn an image file to disc: What I expect to happen: The disc ejects automatically after the disc integrity finishes and the burn process completes successfully. What happens instead: After the disc integrity finishes, I get an error message to eject the disc manually to complete the burn process. After I do a hardware eject, I get a message that the disc is burned successfully.
