Title:
brasero process hangs if launched selecting it from contextual menu
on .iso file
Status in “brasero” package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
If you want to burn an iso it is simple to do it launching brasero from
contextual menu opened doing right click of the mouse just on .iso file. The
problem is that at the end of the burning processo it seems that you cannot
open brasero anymore.
The real fact is that with the above steps brasero parent process is init
(number 1) and at the end of burning it hangs. Next time you try to launch
brasero a process is already running so nothing is launched.
You can simply try it with these simple step:
- create an .iso
- right click on it and select "open with brasero"
- type a ps on a terminal (you will find parent process of brasero is init)
- press cancel button
- if you type agains a ps the process is always running
- launch brasero from command line: you will see "* (brasero:16807): WARNING
**: An instance of Brasero is already running, exiting"
Tested with brasero 3.4.1 on Ubuntu 12.04 (x86_64).
