I managed to figure out a workaround. See my blog post here: http://www.vladalexandruionescu.com/2013/01/using-your-guitar-or-other- instrument.html
(in particular the subheading "Some more hackery (fixing suspend)"). Though it's pretty specific to my setup. But the idea is to have a script /etc/pm/sleep.d/00_restart-jack which stops Jack just before suspending (using 'jack_control stop') and then starts it again (I do it via qjackctl) just after resuming. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to jack-audio-connection-kit in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/586209 Title: jackd crashes on suspend Status in low-latency audio server: New Status in Ubuntu Studio Project: New Status in “jack-audio-connection-kit” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: jackd crashes on suspend or restore. No recorded error message - could be by sound device being suspended. Sound sometimes hangs after restore (could be pulseaudio/jackd client hanging) No error message, no log. Will happily help further - I'd like to switch to jackd as primary sound driver as it's good for pro audio test work - which pulseaudio is definitely not.
