I think this was fixed at some point of time but I forgot to close this
bug. Even if it wasn't fixed I don't have access to the hardware anyway.

Bug description:
  After updating to 8.10 the Xserver wasn't unable to display anything
  (putting my monitor into sleep mode).

  The Xorg logs don't show anything strange.
