Title:
Unity and HUD use a huge amount of memory
Status in Unity:
Expired
Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
I can see some strange things on memory consumption: Unity-panel-
service and hud-service use lots of memory. In my case, each uses more
that 300 MB of memory, which I don't really get why. And I never used
HUD (but it starts by mistake when I press ALT to swich
windows/different commands).
And from time to time, these services use lots of processor also,
making system hang for short periods of time and the ventilation
system to go crazy...
See attached screenshot for memory usage.
