Fixed on Quantal by upgrading to libpixman-1-0
0.28.2-0ubuntu1~xedgers~quantal1 and libcairo2 1.12.10-1ubuntu1~quantal1
from the xorg-edgers PPA.
libpixman-1-0 0.28.2-0ubuntu1 and libcairo2 1.12.12-0ubuntu1 are
available in Ubuntu 13.04 "Raring Ringtail". Can you try a Raring daily
build and see if it fixes the problem for you?

Title:
Evince Document Viewer Does Not Display Minus Signs on Print or Print
Preview
Status in “evince” package in Ubuntu:
Fix Committed
Bug description:
On the attached pdf snippet Evince Document Viewer Does Not Display
Minus Signs on Print or Print Preview.
Ubuntu Release: 12.10
evince:
Installed: 3.6.0-0ubuntu2
Candidate: 3.6.0-0ubuntu2
Version table:
*** 3.6.0-0ubuntu2 0
500 http://ca.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ quantal/main amd64 Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
Expectation: Minus signs to print correctly
What happened: Minus signs display/print as blank characters
Steps to recreate:
1. open out.pdf attachment with Document Viewer
2. as an example check out equation: f(x) = x^2 - 3*x +2 / x - 2 ... you will
notice two minus signs and one plus sign
3. File | Print | Print Preview ... notice that the two minus signs are not
displayed ... this also occurs if you print rather than preview
