apport did not work. I boot up into Ubuntu in the morning and the later in the day I boot into Mint 14.1 Mate Mint never treats me this way. I report a bug to Mint and it if fix by the update manger the next day. Ubuntu Making me jump through all these hoop is just another way of killing the messenger. I could give this bug to Mint as "usb mouse not working right" and pow it would be fixed next day.

The usb mouse turns off at the log in screen or after logging in. I found that when it stops working, to unplug the usb mouse and then plug it back in and then it works fine from there on.
