Bug description:
This is an Ubuntu 11.10 64-bit machine upgraded from Ubuntu 11.04.
When switching between two windows on the same workspace under Unity
(not sure if it does the same under GNOME Shell yet), either through
clicking or using Alt+Tab, windows flicker during the switch. This
issue did not exist under 11.04, and is quite distracting.
Attached is a screen recording illustrating the issue. (Please ignore
the tearing, that is a separate issue filed as bug #713594.)
