Just resurfacing to say that because I got no response I switched to GNotes. I'm a bit surprised this hasn't been investigated more. I would have been happy to help Tomboy out in diagnosing the problem.

In the past couple of days, Tomboy has stopped saving changes to any of my notes which has me really worried. Not sure how much help this will be, but: Steps to reproduce: 1) open an existing note 2) edit note 3) reboot computer 4) open note and find changes are not saved It appears that I can still create new notes but changes to existing notes aren't changed. On Ubuntu 12.04 and and Tomboy 1.10.1.
