Title:
[i945g] UStudio10.04Lucid 64amd after upgrade xorg fatal server error
& went into graphics only mode; is my 2nd time

Status in “xserver-xorg-video-intel” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: xorg

after upgrading 9.10 to 10.04 I built UStudio I lost sound. toggled
jack control; followed method Komputer & Trulan recommended; tried a
work around, failed to do a preempt config and preempt realtime set
up; then, my update manager offered me the real time low something
kernel giving me the least change alternative recommended & said, "Ok,
this will upgrade my kernel & give me a minimal solution. Stepped away
and came back to a dark screen & inbuilt option to configure; did not
feel up to that; ended up with the "$xorg crash report". was able to
submit a report on launchpad.net & found my OS boots/performs in
normal mode. From System> Administration> Log File Viewer here's the
  following report:

observation: This report describes this as a fatal "server" error. But, I
have to my knowledge never installed a server. Maybe I do not understand.

Note, here's a follow up error that I believe occurred after this
fatal server xorg report asking for reconfiguration on a dark gray
screen. In other words, after the fatal server error, the font size of
text as seen on my monitor with Open Office 3.2 running appears to be
70 or 90 point size rather than it normally looks i.e., 12 point size.
But printed text is 12 point just like it is reported in the reset
device windowlet. I recall this occurred after a xorg fatal server
  error arose once before.

If feasible tell me what I may do to solve this mystery in care of my
email: [email protected]. Many, Many thanks.
